Baer et al., 1981

Baer, N.; Nidich, S.; and Abrams, A. A comparative study of Maharishi International University and two small private colleges on perceived personal growth, perceived academic atmosphere, and general quality of life. Master’s thesis, Department of Education, Maharishi International University, Fairfield, Iowa, USA, 1981.

Students at Maharishi International University perceived their personal growth to be greater, and the quality of the academic atmosphere in the university to be higher, than did students from two other institutions of higher learning. These results are attributed to the unique, unified field approach to education utilized at MIU, which includes the regular practice of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi program as part of the curriculum.
