About this site
What this site is, and how to use it
A searchable index of the published scientific research on the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programs, rebuilt from the original researchtm.net database.
What this site does
This site indexes 605 research papers and 1,608 individual findings on the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programs. Every paper has its own page carrying the citation details, the findings it reported, the researchers involved, and links to where the full text can be found online.
The site does not store copies of the papers and does not publish research of its own. It brings together the references and results that were published elsewhere, so that a reader can find a relevant paper quickly and then go to the original source.
How to use it
- Search by keyword on the home page — type a topic such as "blood pressure", "anxiety" or "EEG" and the search looks through paper titles, journals, descriptions and the recorded findings.
- Narrow the results with the Refine panel: author, journal, year, area of research, study design, publication type, or the program studied.
- Ask AI lets you describe a topic in plain language and returns the papers that look most relevant, each with a short note explaining why it was chosen.
- Open any paper for its full citation, its findings grouped by research area, its author list, and links out to the publisher or to Google Scholar.

Where the records came from
These records were compiled over the years for researchtm.net, which ran on a hosted database service that no longer functions. A complete export of that database (December 2019) was recovered and rebuilt into this site, keeping the same papers, findings, author details and labels.
Nothing has been added to or removed from those records. Where a field was blank in the original data — for example the journal name on some entries — it is blank here too. The original spelling and category labels have been kept as they were recorded.
Reading the full text of a paper
No PDFs are hosted here. Instead, each paper page links the reader onward:
- Papers with a link to the publisher's page145
- Papers with a legally free copy online15
- Papers with a one-click Google Scholar search605
Publisher pages for journal articles sometimes require a subscription or a one-off payment; a university or public library is usually the cheapest route.
Good to know
The database records what was studied and what was reported — it is an index, not a review. A finding listed here is one result from one paper; the counts do not tell you how strong the evidence is, or whether other researchers reached the same conclusion.
- Coverage runs from 1970 to 2011; the underlying export was taken in December 2019 and has not been extended since.
- Research areas, designs and publication types are the labels used by the original compilers, so closely related ideas can appear under different names.
- Some entries are reviews, theses or conference reports rather than journal articles — the publication type is shown on every paper page.
