Miskov, S. Endogenous evoked potentials in subjects practicing Transcendental Meditation. Unpublished doctoral dissertation, Department of Clinical Neurophysiology of the Clinics for Neurology, Psychiatry, Alcoholism and Other Abuses of the Clinical Hospital ‘Sestre Milosrdnice’, Zagreb University, Zagreb, Croatia, 1992.

This study found that those practicing the Transcendental Meditation program display the following characteristics of auditory evoked brain potentials associated with reduction of the usual effects of aging: increased amplitude and decreased latency of P300 brain potentials correlated with length of time practicing Transcendental Meditation; greater amplitude of response prior to Transcendental Meditation in comparison to controls; shorter latency of response following Transcendental Meditation in comparison to controls and in comparison to before the practice.
